Better communication, better care . . . better be there!

Better communication leads to better care—but communicating clearly with clients can be challenging when you’re not only discussing medical issues the client may be unfamiliar with, but are trying to do so with a language barrier in the way.

As we saw in last month’s webinar on cultural competence, the ability to talk to clients in their own language can make a huge difference in building a relationship that leads to optimum care for a beloved pet. When clients clearly understand you—and feel understood and seen in return—it can build trust, increase compliance, and make for a more comfortable experience for everyone involved.

For those veterinary professionals who are interested in leveling up their ability to connect with Spanish-speaking clients, we have good news: Vetspacito is hosting a virtual, free meet-up to help members of veterinary teams improve their veterinary Spanish!

This continuing education opportunity will take place on Friday, May 17 at 1 pm ET. It is designed for veterinary professionals who already have some knowledge of Spanish and are looking to connect with others in the profession who’d like to work on their vet Spanish language skills.
